HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

I got sick of waiting for MTN to get is, so I bought it online.
Now I have the freedom to choose which operator gets my business.
 
I don't think it's MTN itself. I think the problem lies with the Service Providers.

I would agree but none the less SP's, dealers, are all considered to be MTN at the end of the day

The delays in general are not on

OK, so the moment finally arrived.

Smiling from ear to ear, I picked up my phone to order my TyTn - finally!
I spoke to a friendly lady in retentions, and she told me that the phone is not yet available. Being unable to convince her that it was, i finally asked her for her name.
Rapidly she responded that they recieved a new pricelist today, and that she would quickly check it. Lo and behold, the TyTn is available at R2299 on a pro call 120.

I then asked her whether I'm entitled to a discount because I've been out of contract for 5 months now waiting for the phone. And it boils down to:

1. No, no discount because the phone is new.
2. There aren't any stock in any case. Check back in January.

So what now? after months of riding poor MTNDD and finally hearing that everything is sorted out, my christmas is RUINED:(

So finally you get an answer but it is not the one you where looking for ... I feel your pain man .. i feel your pain ... but hey a you get a fresh start this way .. A new year with a new phone :)

Yeah, my only consolation is that it's now only 9 days to the holiday:D

which device are you guys springing for? The JasJam or the TyTn?

I have just spoken to retensions department and they have also confirmed they have no stock, but are willing to give me a R500 credit on the normal price of R2299 ;)

I am happy to accept that for the TyTn. Now they just need to find the stock...

don't wanna hassle you, but i know you'r off to sunny (and windy!) GB this weekend, so then we're stuck with MTN customer service.
And that is somtimes not the best of things.:sick:
