HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

Hallo everyone, I am new here.
Got my Tytn this week with my MTN upgrade, still trying master all the
functions of the phone.

I cant get my video call to work and is uncertain if the HSDPA if funtioning.
Used my phone as modem, and connected @ 240kb/s - is this correct or
not.

Is there funtions that I need to ask MTN to activate on my account, or will
everything work out the box.

I know I sound like a noob, that is because I am one - so please type slowely
in your responces.

All help & advice will be apreciated.

Thanx

Welcome to myADSL 88RSI

Yes you need HSCSD active in order for your Video Calling to work can you please PM me your cell number I’ll check if out for you and sort it out for you ASAP in terms of HSDPA the average is 400 to 700 peaking at 1.8 but PM me and I’ll just ensure that everything loaded on our end

Thanks MTNDD

Just installed MS Voice Command. DAMN.. Why havent i done that in the first place!! This thing rocks!!!

So you can now control your phone via VOICE command and you say it's a good Voice Command interface?

That's cool hard to find those

Memory/Task manager

D@rk_4ngel, you have posted textfile info which point to the Memory manager where a list of running programs are displayed... and can be closed.

Okay, I copied the memory.lnk to Device\Windows, Device\Windows\Programs, Device\Windows\AppButtons (all 'just in case')

... but how do I assign a button to point to the link? When I go to Settings\Buttons I only find a fixed list with no option to browse a different place?

Can you help please???

PS... some ppl asked on cost of TyTN phones - Vodacom listed them @ R2300 and MTN @ R2000 with contracts... played em up against each other and ended up paying about R1850 for TWO phones... Vodacom @ 1050 including the 150 contract upgrade/renewal and MTN gave credit of about 1300 so worked out around 700. Just to show that the prices are coming down... with a twist of the arm and a boot in the back... and MTN turned out to be the cheapest... admittedly that phone was buggy and then MTN wanted to throw the phantom 30min talktime voids an exchange?!!? I guess NOT!!!... but be carefull of that when new users buy the TyTN (it means a new phone you have to send in for repairs for 4 weeks duh MTN... who will accept that ???)

Many thanks,
NV

Hi all.

Got my video calling sorted out.

Just because your friend has had his tytn for almost 2 months doesn't mean he has setup his video calling!

Felt like a real tit yesterday when one of the Mtn 1555 guys came out to my house and made a video call from my phone.

Many tx to MTN_DD for arranging everything.

@MTN_DD

Can I get the HTC TyTN on MTN MyCall 100 on a new contract form MTNSP and how much will i need to pay upfront for it because at Nashua Mobile on the same package they quoted me for R4580 (incl. sim & activation fee) upfront.

Thank you
