Our corporate APN so I put in my user name password and domain and selected 3G/GPRS created the connection under connection settings as well with my mail server which I use at work and no go - Just didn't want to work I'm pretty sure I did everything right

But I've given the phone back and I've asked them to give me another one to play around with if I still have a problem with the other one I'll let you know

Thanks TG

AnyHo .. are you trying to connect to an exchange server for your e-mail ??

@The Guy

The company's APN only allows me access to my work applications and email there is no way to shape more bandwidth to a particular APN so it's exactly the same as the myMTN APN and Internet APN nothing special at all

Hi Everybody.

I'm new to this site and not very computer litterate. I recently got my htc tytn and are still trying to figure it out. Anyway i tried to download a trading platform from a site and I got a message mtcesetup is not a
valid Pocket PC application. I've e mailed the company my problem and they sent me the following reply:

If your PDA or mobile device does not have a touch screen, then neither of these links will work. The platform will only work on a mobile device that has a touch screen. I am not familiar with htc or tytn.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

one of two things is happening here ... the installation file you downloaded needs to be run from your PC while your TyTN is connected with active sync
or you downloaded the wrong version of the app for your device ..

Bandwidth controllers should be able to that for you ..

Back to the topic ... you guys have remote access to the office .. so you are looking to connect to a VPN ( Virtual Private Network ) to access resources network resources ( these connections should be configure in your My Work Connection ) ... what error message do you get when trying to connect?
as for your e-mail ... i take it you are using an exchange server ... to collect your mail on the TyTN you will be synchronizing directly with the server .. for this you will use your normal internet connection ( My ISP ) ... what error messages do you get ??

Hi Everybody.

... i tried to download a trading platform ...

I am a wannabee TyTN owner, and very interested to know if you can get the trading software to work. Which trading platform do you want to use, and can you give a link to the site?

ActiveSync for Vista

I haven't seen the problem raised yet by anyone, but it took me a little while to find the "Vista version" of ActiveSync. ActiveSync 4.2 does not load on Vista at all.

I am running Vista RC2 and you need to download a piece of software called "Windows Mobile Device Center" Beta 3. This software manages all your synchronization settings just like ActiveSync 4.2 does. You can find the link at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/devicecenter.mspx

The file is about 9 MB in size if I remember. It is beta software but I have not had a single error with it yet. But then again, Vista RC2 is also beta software and if you are running that you will have no issues running WMDC Beta 3! :)
