HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

That's why I don't want to get a TyTN. Since the first day you guys got your TyTN's your struggeling to get it to work 100%.

I want a phone that works perfectly from the day I get it.

these are cooked ROM's ... the official ROM's work perfectly well ... :cool:
 
correct. This is something you will never experience with your nokia. The ability to tweak the software, run an endless variety of apps or hacking your phone so the setup is just as you like it.

How do i backup the entries for the T9 predictive text?

And another thing, in Task Manager, how do i type in command lines?

such as they give in the 'About' info?

This is the HTC TytN/JasJam aka Hermes thread. My Hermes device hasn't given me problems since the day i started using - with the cooked ROMs.

Now post where it is necessary.

1) Deleted to save space on ROM. You can add some off you're own in the Application data/ Sounds folder.

If you liked it so much you could have backed it up before installing the new ROM.

Download some new ones off the net or pay the local yocals. Even better ... make you're own ..... take MP3 and strip it to smaller size with Audacity and boost the DB to make it louder.

Don't know where to get that, will check if I backed it up.

2) You must have deactivated it in HTweakC. Check the Systray portion.

What alarm app would you guys recommend that will work even if I have the volume off. And it would be a real bonus if it would work even when the device is off.

Dude i have been into abusing GSM enabled PDA's since the first one ..
Qtek 1010 Running windows mobile 2002 ... my post was in response to Banana ( in Afrikaans )
Anyways ... you gotta love having a device that you can actually hack tweak and modify to roll with changes in world of technology ...

It seems to be working some of the time for e-mail forwarded via emoze to my TyTn, but then again my setup is not ideal.

Everything looks great in MSN Live mail ......... could have everything forwarded here, but then I would have to reply from my MSN account ........ not good business practice.

The Mail2Web offer is looking tempting for getting a hosted Exchange 2007 service and software for you're desktop. That would be pukka !
