HTTPort? Solve your cap problem!

Iv been on a LAN in a corporation for a long time and have cracked the system by using HTTPort. This makes it so you cannot see where you are going, therefore no blocked sites!!!

Once your cap has been reached SA sites are still accessable at ADSL speeds. Therefore if you use HTTPort they can only see you going to an SA server. So surely this should solve the problem.

But how the HELL do you get it to work on ADSL HELP!!!!![!]

I am presuming that this is what nocap is doing??? If im right you can get it for free!

You won't be able to get it to work for ADSL. Telkom measures all traffic on your line regardless of the location and when you hit your cap you are routed through a different link. Nocap provides a proxy service using their own bandwidth i.e. 256k Diginet or perhaps more at this time.

HTTPort is designed to allow you to use services via proxy that are normally blocked on corporate networks. At this time I don't believe Nocap has any kind of port limitations on its service.

I still belive otherwise. If you are just being rerouted through the Nocap system you are still going through the telkom line and therefore you are still going to hit your cap.

HTTPort is impossable at this stage to prevent as it is just going through the same proxy! Because South African sites and downloads still go at full speed after you have hit your cap then surely connecting to a south african transparent server and browzing will solve the problem.

It solves the problem because you are just seen as going to a south African site because of the transparency and therefore will surf and download at speeds that south african site work at..

Anyway, im working on it and when I get it working ill tell you'll how to do it!!!

The short answer is: it's impossible to use anything like HTTPort through the SAIX proxy server. In addition, even if you could use it, once you hit your cap you can't even use the SAIX proxy server; the capped subnets are firewalled off from it.
