Thank You

is LTE Watch working, seems to crash after login..

LTE View works ok but would like to log the signal, any other apps ?
if you have an android phone, can go looking for huactrl, works well,
also had mixed results with the huawei AI life program, sometimes works, and sometimes wont work.

The router itself does provide that info
Under advanced settings some where, think router info. No logs though

As above huactrl also works well, has a speedometer type diagram indicating strength. Think it can log. Not sure. May need the paid version

Hi all

I installed a pi hole at home and is working well, however I can’t find the DNS setting in my B618 to change the DNS to that of my pi hole.

Does it not have the option?

Remind me tomorrow evening or so, I'll have a look on mine.

But I think you may have to disable the DHCP entirely. I do seem to recall having it working before I switched to another router.

It should be under Ethernet settings on the router.

EDIT: Network settings -> Ethernet -> Ethernet settings -> Dynamic IP -> Set DNS server manually

I have one of these B618-22d bought from Vodacom a couple of years back.
I have inserted a Telkom sim with their new month to month 2TB package.
I'm getting decent speeds but I want to transfer some of the data to other Telkom sims 1 gig at a time every few days but I can't get any response from *180# USSD to Telkom.
I'm sure it would work if I took the sim out of the B618 and stuck it in a phone temporarily but I don't want to do that so often if I can possibly avoid it.
Does anyone know how I can get the USSD communication to Telkom working through the B618?

The reason for this is because you have the network mode set to 4G only so when you dial *180# the router can not fall back to 3G to do the USSD and then just times out.

You need to change it to Auto if you want to do USSD.

Thanks I will try that...I did see it was on 4g only...

You sir are a legend! Thank you!
It almost worked flawlessly, I had to just remove the
disabled = "disable"
property on the primary and secondary DNS boxes under 'elements' in the dev tools otherwise the fields are disabled.

Which browser did you use. Can't seem to come right for the b618 65d on Mozilla or Chrome...

I think that was Chrome. It's quite feasable that they have removed it from the newer firmwares. I just hit F12, select the Elements tab then ctrl-f to search for primary_dns (on the DHCP settings page).
Unfortunately I don't have that model of router anymore.
Thanks just curious any idea what to do herE?

What about in the future when 3G is switched off? What then?

Talking about phones using USSD too.
