I have a similar problem with my e220... I can can connect to the network. Data is transmitting but not receiving. Firmware: 11.117.000.000, vmc 9.2, win xp sp2

Have you tried to rollback to firmware 11.110.05.00.00 ??

Had a friend who had similar problems, but also disconnecting problems and he was using 11.117.000.000. He rolled back to 11.110.05.00.00 and it seemed to have fixed his problems. His connection was more stable on the older firmware.

Edit: Nevermind. I read through the whole post properly. Saw you've tried multiple firmwares.

@Vodacom3g,
Shame on you for treating me no better than the useless call centres. Ignoring me wont make the problem go away.

Still same issues.
Still same ****.
Still no decent solution.

PS: 5 February 2009, @19:52,
3G/HSDPA down, again... only EDGE/GPRS available.
Even EDGE is much more unstable than it should be.

@wheunis, considering your bad attitude, and considering v3g's existing efforts to help you, what incentive does v3g have to help you any further?

If by "bad attitude" you mean i have answered every question posed, ran every test requested, implemented every so-called fix, and am merely fed-up with being ignored further even though the problem persists...

Yes, then i clearly do have a bad attitude. I'm just supposed to sit with a finger up my ### while being charged for it?

Clearly the problem is something we cannot fix here on this forum. So your best bet is to take the modem back to the Vodahop?

Done.
Just finished testing after getting it swopped this morning.
New E220.
Reformatted laptop late last night.

Anybody wanna guess the outcome?

No difference at all.

Tried again on Desktop as well. Any guesses?
Tried again on Server.
Tried again on PS3, Linux and Native OS.
Tried on wife's laptop.

Same situation... same problem.

No need.

A quick swop out of my SIM card over to MTN and all is well. Same PC's, same modem... works without flaw.

Screw Vodacom.
