Huawei E220 downloads

Dolby, I wish IC or V3G can post a thread with the correct firmware/dashboard software that works...and works well...there are so many versions floating around, I seriously don't know which one to install anymore. *sigh*

Guess we should download the firmware from Vodacom's web site, but not sure if that is the 'latest and greatest'.

I'm running Firmware version 11.110.05.00.00, and VMCLite version 3.0.3.112.

Sofar i've had abosultely NO problems with it. Its works well for me.

It is the latest and greatest Vodacom-tested software.

As iam3G says, VMC lite now does what it should've done all along, so I'm using it now.

Cool!

I just downloaded VMC Lite 3.2.1 from Vodacom's web site at 137kbps...impressive. Gonna install it now!

I've already installed the lastest firmware from Vodacom's web site.

Installed the VMC Lite software and uninstalled it again.

Where I get 99% signal strength with Mobile Partner, VMC gives me 76% - WTF??

Maybe it's trying to connect to the 3G towers in England. hehe

Probably just the way it reports it. The dash can't make a difference in signal level.

Use ginggs (badly-named ;)) E620 tool to check the levels reported by the modem.
