The following files does not download :

Runinfo.ini
Mtshelp.dat
Sysconfig.dat

Anybody have any idea's how to solve the problem.

i also have the same problem, i am getting so peed off by mtn its scary

When you get the download error message dont press ok. Go to C:\Program Files\MTN F@stLink Data Card/Update Temp folder

Make sure that you are disconnected and do not have the MTN software running in the background. Copy all then paste it to C:\Program Files\MTN F@stLink Data Card Just overwrite everything.

You just successfully updated to the latest version. : ) Standby, hibernation issues and resume are fixed too.

Before copying the files, delete MTShelp.dat, RunInfo.ini and SysConfig.dat from the UpdateTemp folder, otherwise you'll replace your good old versions with files containing nothing but a 404 error message.

Its seems like MTN forgot to put those three files on their web server.
 
why do I as a simple minded consumer have to go through the pain of doing all the above - MTN get your act together and do something right, i would like to use the current programme I have to ber able to do a clean update, when i update any software on my PC i dont have these hassles, i merely upgrade and it works why cannot the same be said for MTN??????????

To enable your notebook to standby or hibernate without having to disconnect your data connection, simply open runinfo.ini. C:\Program Files\MTN F@stLink Data Card It will automatically open using notepad. Just change ExistSystemWait=1 to ExistSystemWait=0 This is the setting for the generic huawei software. I dont know why they had to change it with MTN.
 
I see the online update have been taken away after the update????????? Why????
 
OK What I did now was install the latest MTN software from Huawei site. Then I did the online update, And vuala!! It installed just as you would expect it to do. I also see that I did not lose my online update to the software. Great!
 
I also see that no Ussd comands availible on new software.... BOOO HOOO!!!

All I've raised this with Huawei will provide you guys with feedback ASAP and I do apologize we're not in the buisness trying to make life difficult

I'll raise this and advise ASAP, please advise if any of you are still having a problem?

I can no longer update. I lost the new version when I reinstalled. It stops at the mtslicense.dll
