Huawei IDEOS S7 Slim experience

The right speaker plays sound, but adds 'sound effects', sounding like a car starting. Very annoying.

Has anyone tried to use the Hauwei S7 Slim tablet as a Wi-Fi hotspot? I got myself a Cell C data sim and insert it into the tablet and selected the portable Wi-Fi hotspot checkbox. It is visible and connects with other devices but I can't browse. I then put the sim in another device and it worked perfectly fine. Therefore, I am convinced that the problem is with the tablet. Is there anyone who knows what I can do to fix this?

Thanks.

Just tried now with Telkom Mobile, Vodacom & CellC. Connected with 3 other devices(Samsung Galaxy Pocket, Google Nexus Tablet, Ubuntu Laptop) - worked perfectly...

Thanks. I have tried again and again with no success. Now it has gotten to a point where it is visible but no device can connect to it. I have given up and will be taking the sim back tomorrow.

What OS are you using on the tablet? Some custom ROM's have an issue with WiFi tethering. I tried the standard, unbranded OS from Huawei.

Strange, mine worked automatically on inserting a sim...

Good to hear you got it working though :)

hey guys

anyone interested in selling their tablet?

Maybe....
Haven't used it in about almost a year so will have to check it out first

OK cool. Please feel free to PM me a price. I am looking for the s7 slim as my dad is familiar with it.

Else I will go grab a cheapie chinese one next weekend.

Note: I am in Durban and would prefer collection

Slight derail. Just got the 8 inch Mediapad and really enjoying it. Just need a pouch /folder for it. Any leads on what would suffice?
