I want to test out the waters with Telkom LTE with the view of perhaps grabbing the 1TB deal. Telkom's coverage map doesn't show LTE available in my area, but you can find a Telkom 4G tower when searching for available networks.

Will the Huawei MIFI E5576 Router work for testing how the network will perform? Thinking of grabbing it and a prepaid 5GB+5GB bundle to test.

Does the router support bands 1, 3 and 40? Then it should work.
 
Managed to pick up a E5572-321 model from PEP. It looks different from the one on Takealot. Not sure what the difference is between them. It says it covers band 1/3/8/40. Would the 606 model be better?

Did a quick speed test:
Ping: 39ms
Download: 25.61Mbps
Upload: 19.24Mbps

Need to find out the ussd codes for Telkom now.
