Huawei Nexus 6P

Anyone know where to have a Nexus 6p repaired? Mine needs a new back cover and Orange "can't" help.

So I'm seriously considering ordering the 6P. I'd like to have 64GB. It seems Orange is my safest bet.

They have stock for the 64GB Graphite Black, but I'm hesitant to get the black as the coating might scratch with time and normal use. From comment from those with experience with a Graphite Black 6P?

They don't have stock of the 64GB Aluminium, which is probably my first choice.

Do you expect the prices to come down in the future? I could wait a month or two. Then again, the prices are as high as ever 6 months after release, so it might not make sense to wait longer for lower prices.

How do you pay for it? I mean R10k is a lot to fork out at once? Do you use a credit card, or do you save money? It seems crazy to me to buy a phone once off at R10k. I would rather pay it off monthly. How can that be done?

What most people do is create a new 12/24/36 month budget on credit card online. The funds will transfer into cc as a straight amount and you pay off the budget you created. So you end up paying the full amount via credit card for the item, and end up paying only the monthly budget.

It's the manual way of buying an item on credit card over 24 months etc if the online store doesn't offer you the option to purchase it over several months.

That or people have too much money to throw at cellphones

People should be saving anyway. Those who do have some reserves to play with, and purchasing it cash becomes possible.

Dropped my phone on the weekend, on a tiled floor...

Landed on the bottom corner, so have a small flat spot where it should be round. First drop of many more i'm sure...

:erm:

Sorry to hear!

Luckily your glass is still fine. I'm still using my 6P without a screen protector or any case. No issues so far, will try my best to keep it this way.

I have a screen protector, decided to use one after looking at my N5 (3 years old). Also found additional damage from my drop :erm: Seems like the aluminium and plastic section (antennae) has a hairline crack/space, basically separated from each other when it hit the corner of the phone. Anyway....

Still loving the phone!

Where did you order from? You are a lumina guy right? This for you or someone else?
Lumina guy? Hehe. I don't drive a Chevy. ;)

Oh, you mean Lumia? Well, I do love Win phone. Not too concerned about brands. But with Android there's little point in doing anything other than a Nexus to make sure of getting updates and a crapware-free experience.

It's for me. From Orange.

I'm sorry it doesn't have wireless charging. Have grown to love that over the past few years, and forgotten where cables plug into phones.

Big phones are essential for me. Six inch screen like the 1520 is ideal, but you don't get that anymore.

^ I'd be interested to know as well. I left WP because I found that 10 still had some bugs that needed to be ironed out on my 640 XL... Wasn't a perfectly smooth experience as I have come to expect from iOS and Android
