That's so braindead. They should just have one version, the international one is only missing like 3 of the ranges VS the american one missing a whole bunch (but nothing critical it appears)

Huawei just sent me an email to say that Mustek will be receiving stock of the 6P from next month. She also stated that the phone is still not officially in the country...

Pricing will be interesting.

It's what I'd expect. More than an iPhone 6S and more expensive than a Note 5 too!

Overpriced IMO

I agree. And with no official support in the country, where it might take a few weeks or months to fix your phone should it break.

I think its practically a no-brainer now. Don't get this phone until there's a substantial price drop.

Friend at work has had his iPhone 6S for about a month now and the other day his son stood on it by accident while it was face down on the floor.....scratches everywhere, all over the screen....

So I immediately ordered a screen protector for my 6P from Zeek!

Anybody found a reasonably priced cover without having to import? Nothing fancy, just some basic protection.

Seems like it's only Zeek atm...

Buuuuut

Currently waiting for my screen protector from them, which is over its delivery deadline....
Paid R50 for nothing.

Why do you suppose it's so much? It's cheaper than its rivals overseas. That's one of the main benefits of the Nexus phones, generally.

A price drop may not happen any time soon, as Cellucity is the only company in SA offering the phone on contract. They've got the market.

The Nexus 6P is only cheap, and cheaper than its rivals, in the United States. All other countries are paying much more.

Not worth the money.

Using the 6P for a few weeks now and loving it. Some points:
-Phone recharges nice and fast, kind of makes up for the so-so battery life.
-Camera is really nice, is able to focus in very low light and pictures are nice and clear.
-Android is noticeably snappy on the phone.
-Screen seems very crisp, especially pictures at native res. Recently changed to sRGB mode because colours were very poppy.
-Stereo speakers are awesome, no more cupping your hand to get the sound projected forward (phones with speakers at the bottom/back of phone.

All in all I'm really happy with it, coming from a Nexus 5. Is also weird picking up the N5 now and thinking that it's a really small phone...
