Huawei p1, just got mine.

Well thats GSM arena 4 ya... Anyways phone looks awesome so far... really feature packed...

I saw not so many custom roms 4 it and the cm10 that its got the 1080p video recoring and stuff don't work... So looks like I will stick on the standard rom.... Just disabled all those useless vlive apps....

When I bought my phone the HUAWEI rep said some countries do get the micro sim version because the reviews I read also stated micro sim.
 
GSM Arena seem to be referring to a mini-sim as our normal sim in SA
 
Dammit i should have used my pumped up thanku points to get R250 off the R1999 I spent.... But still loving the phone.
 
Got one of these thanks to this thread and myBB. Was the last one at an Edgars but not the promotion with covers.
Does anyone know where I can get a body skin or cover for this phone in cape town or jozi? I can't find anywhere?
 
Picked one up today as well (after cracking my moto razr earlier this year). VERY impressed with the phone so far.

No cases or skins in the country - I asked on their FB page. Appaly arriving in the new year. Personally I'm not convinced so I have tried to order three from topamart china - we'll have to see
 
There's an Android update available. It's not Android 4.1 but it sure makes the phone even more faster.
 
Thanks for the great heads up mate! Haven't noticed too many changes but the update went off without a hitch. What changes have you noticed?

Didn't lose any data but it did lose my Gmail settings.
 
I've noticed that apps opened up quicker and now I've noticed that the sound quality on my Skullcandy Headphones has massively improved with deeper bass. I'm using the Equaliser system app and VLC media player. It's absolutely great sound!
