Huawei will launch its P30 and P30 Pro flagships on March 26 at an event in Paris. But before that, the company will launch its mid-range smartphone - the nova 4e.

The Chinese maker has confirmed that it will unveil the nova 4e on March 14 in its home country. The nova 4e will be hitting global markets as the P30 Lite.

Two days ago, Huawei shared a video teasing the waterdrop notch display and 32 MP selfie camera on the nova 4e, but apart from that, the company hasn't divulged much about this smartphone.

However, its global variant - the P30 Lite - has appeared on TENAA confirming that the smartphone will sport a 6.15-inch Full-HD+ display and a 3,240 mAh battery.

The P30 Lite will come with Kirin 710 SoC, and leaked case renders have shown us that it will feature triple camera on its back along with a fingerprint scanner.

The triple-camera setup on the P30 Lite is rumored to include 20 MP, 16 MP, and 2 MP cameras.

Might be interested in this...all depends on what price it arrives at.

If it comes with a good pricing like the P20lite then it will be a hot seller

After unveiling the nova 4 with Kirin 970 SoC and 48 MP rear camera last December, Huawei has today unveiled its toned down version dubbed nova 4e.

The Huawei nova 4e comes with Kirin 710 SoC mated to either 4GB or 6 GB RAM. The smartphone boots Android Pie-based EMUI 9 and has 128 GB of storage on board. It also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

The Huawei nova 4e sports a 6.15-inch 19.5:9 LCD on the front that has a resolution of 2312 x 1080 pixels. The display has a waterdrop notch up top which is home to the 32 MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The back of the smartphone is covered with 3D glass and houses a triple camera setup consisting of 24 MP, 8 MP, and 2 MP units. The 24 MP unit is the primary sensor having f/1.8 aperture. The 8 MP camera, on the other hand, comes with a 120-degree ultra-wide angle lens, whereas the 2 MP camera is used for depth sensing.

The nova 4e also comes with features like HiVision, GPU Turbo 2.0, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The smartphone has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a decent 3,340 mAh battery (with 18W fast charging) which draws power from a USB Type-C port.

The Huawei nova 4e is offered in three colors - Gradient Blue, Midnight Black, and Pearl White.

It will go on sale in China from March 21 with the 4 GB RAM variant priced at CNY 1,999 ($298) and the 6 GB RAM variant priced at CNY 2,299 ($342).

The nova 4e will make it to global markets as P30 Lite on March 26.

Heavy user?
Not massively, no - but then, this phone isn't aimed at the heavy user?

If I do run low, the quick charge gives me enough of a boost in half an hour or so...

Okay I prefer 1.5 day battery that gets me through the day worst case senario

This should be interesting. Got my first P20 Lite just after launch for R5300.

Wondering what this will come in for...

Compare to Galaxy A30 and A50 pricing

How do the benchmarks compare? (I haven't looked yet). The 30 lite is some serious kit for the price. 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, dual 4g, 32mp selfie camera with HDR, HiVision and a great display...
