The only time I've used an Apple device, was when I got the original iPhone all those years back.

Never used it again,

Been using Android ever since.

seems i may have to try again, this morning it went ballistic with the google sign in messages, noticed last night that notifications from apps were not working either.

iPhone, i got one due to my director getting one, and if questions were asked about 'how to' i needed to answer it, and it just stuck

I don't receive any push notifications for Gmail, etc.

WhatsApp works fine though.

I'm quite happy with Android, and use quite a bit of Google applications for work as well,

Are you running your P40 with GMS?

Even without GMS, the phone is brilliant,

Yip, using without GMS
for the apps that i could not get on the Huawei apps i used phone clone, via a samsung
 
Running mine without the GMS , happy with everything since i got the phone in June,
All my apps i had before, are all working great, got a email program for gmail, which now has notifications coming through which is great,
All in all, very happy with device.... and amazing camera

How's your battery life?
And did you manage to get the FNB banking app?

Hey there,

yip FNB app working through phone clone (cant do face ID, only fingerprint log on)
Gmail working through the Huawei email app.

Battery life is amazing, fast charge is something else.

I had GMS installed,
So didn't do the phone clone thing,

Everything worked well except for push notifications on Gmail.

Battery was maybe around 15% at 11pm, from a full charge at 5am, with heavy usage (lots of calls, WhatsApp msgs, web browsing and Videos)

I've now changed to a OnePlus 8 Pro
