Just got the P8 on Saturday.

Great build quality. Software is a bit different for people like me coming from stock Android.

Not sure if this is true for all networks in SA, but the one I have from Vodacom is not dual sim (model GRA-L09). There are other models of this phone that support SD card or nano sim in the second slot (GRA-UL10).

Not getting the dual sim version was the biggest disappointment for me.

My theory: Both models are the same with a different tray in the second slot. I will try and find an alternate tray and test the theory :D.

Post your reviews, tips and tricks in this thread.

Edit1:
A quick search shows that the L09 is the standard version (16GB), and UL10 is the premium version (64GB).

Edit2: Marshmallow available for P8 (manual update)

Vodacom has a very strict policy when it comes to Dual Sim phones, I bought Sony M4 Aqua which I also thought would be Dual Sim with Vodacom as it is with Cell C.

Sorry I cannot add in to the topic.

I think only Cell C sells dual sim phones. You can also get cheap ones at Pep Stores.

Mine should hopefully be here this week from cellc. They are offering it for R369 a month + mifi device which has 1gb data a month for 12 months.

That sounds like a good deal. What did you get for the R369?

Battery life?

Just over a day with heavy use. When my usage returns to normal, probably a day and a half.

R369 a month is on the EPIC 100 contract ,which is just R100 airtime . The free mifi makes the deal worth it.

Cellc N1 city had back covers for R99.

The pakistan store has flip covers for R100 also.

Got me the back cover.

I go more basic - I never put covers on my phone.

Also, this phone in particular, just feels so good in the hand. The matte finish of the metal back, and slight warmth just after taking it out of your pocket :).

Agreed, With phones I have always said that if it was meant to have a cover there would have been one in the box.

Has anyone removed the sticker on the back with the "CE 0197" on it? It looks kinda ugly but am worried that removing it will effect the warranty.
