HUAWEI WiFi AX3

Are you cabling to wan of the secondary router?

Also, are you using the default DHCP?

Well, I am cabling to WAN on the secondary but that’s not the end solution I want , it’s to bridge both routers wirelessly and create one network to roam

Yes I’m using the default DHCP

Cabling to WAN will create a mesh, which is what you want?

I thought so as well , doesn’t create a mesh , two separate networks are created

What I want is the main router - AX3 which connects to the fibre to connect to the secondary -B316 and create one network wirelessly as I can’t run a cable between them

Reason why I want to use the B316 is it’s just sitting here unused from LTE times

That is weird. I'm assuming secondary router has been reset, primary router is running dhcp and cable is from primary LAN to secondary WAN?

Yes have reset the secondary about 4 times and you’d be correct with the connection , it does connect but it separates the network so devices on primary can’t see on secondary

But I wanted I to mesh both together seems like that’s a dream

This is unusual. I've meshed a couple of devices this way, not sure why yours isn't working.

Doesn't sound right at all. Even if manually setup as a repeater it switches over to Mesh after a little while.

Both on same firmware versions maybe? Sounds like it's running another DHCP server still.

I have the Ax3, and it keeps dropping my samsung phone, the phone reports no wifi, yet I am streaming, just me, 2 devices, on a 25/25 line, the router never moves, yet the phone is always offline, brand new samsung, not sure I suspect the router is faulty, as it was reporting "excellent" internet, yet there was a city wide offline event..The Ax3 is a toy, it is not what it claims to be...

Turn off band steering. Mine has been working great for 3 months now so not sure how you can say it's a toy?

Why are you being like this, I asked, you sent a screengrab of something not useful, I am confused.

Anybody have the firmware for the Huawei WIFI AW3(Dual-Core)?

Found a firmware for the honor router 3. This firmware worked on the Huawei WIFI AW3(Dual-Core).
Apparently it's the same hardware.
