I think Samsung is realising they will lose market share to Huawei if they continue to neglect/underspec midrange phones.
 
You guys are trashing this thread with Samsung A30 which cost 100 Euro more than Huawei Y7 2019 and A50 which cost more than twice.

There is another thread with Huawei P Smart 2019, at least comparable in price, so feel free go there, unless mods move everything to the trash bin.

There is no way Samsung A-series can compete with Huawei Y series, unless they bring something in the same price range soon. If not Y7 2019 will be the best selling phone in South Africa this year.

Y7 2019 is 150 Euro. If you get math from my post, you wouldn't ask this question. P Smart 2019 is 250 Euro, the same as Samsung A30.

The best local prices are from Telkom:
Y7 2019 on FreeMe 500MB R199p/m x 24
P Smart 2019 on FreeMe 500MB R249p/m x24

These are March deals from Telkom, Website is not updated and there is no April booklet yet.

I get your point, there is no good local cash price for these Huawei phones. Even Y3 2018 that was on special R999 one year ago, now the same phone is asking R1699. Huawei need do something about. This is a shame that Y7 2019 (which is supposedly a volume cracker seller) is priced similarly to the upper spec A30 (competitor to the Huawei P Smart 2019).

Galaxy A30 looks very good phone and a cash price from Cell C is superb, it deserves a separate thread. So please move elaborate discussion about A30/A50 features to the other thread. All I am asking is to handle it in a civilised way, post a link.

When you do, I will be left alone, as no one will lurk into this thread anymore, but it is better than filling up this thread with trash.
