Hubble Batteries

My humblest apologies at having failed your request, master.

On second thoughts, perhaps I should put you back on ignore. Have you perhaps tried Googling?
Yes, I have but couldn't find anything. You made a bold statement regarding their warranty so I assumed you had access to it.

Feel free to ignore me if that'll improve your forum experience.

Then you should engage with Bruce Gu on powerforum.co.za, he is one of the designers of the Greenrich battery. With you being a dealer and all, these are all things that you ought to know about, yes, instead of playing dumb?

Hardly a bold statement, I merely repeated what was in the public domain. It's a great warranty, especially if the BMS does not throttle it like Pylontech does.

I am filled with gratitude to you for granting me my wishes, o master :giggle:

I'm not sure why you're being so passive aggressive about this? I asked for a link to the warranty document and you've gone all uphill in your response.

For the benefit of those that, like @Speedster , are challenged in the Search! department, some posts from Bruce Gu on the Greenrich battery:

I'd be interested to see the Greenrich warranty. Do you perhaps have a link to it?
I googled but cannot trace an actual warranty document. Merely stated warranty on sellers' sites.

I see they refer to 1.5C and 2C for the 5kw battery. Not too sure how it could be 1.5 vs 2C unless maybe different models of the 5kw.

I suggest maybe you write to one of the sellers and request a copy of warranty.

Glad my battery expansion on hold. Prices are steep!

Because 2C!!!!!!! Pylontech are a pathetic 0.5C, these are obviously better.

/s
Yep. Bit sad about my pylontechs 0.5C limitation but thus far no issues.

Only problem is family use power hungry appliance simultaneously during LS. So twice inverter restarted.

Only a minute before it reboots but PIA.

So an update, it seems the Hubble issues are because of the bms. When I gave the cloudlink back, the issues started. So now Hubble will give me a free cloudlink

What did the cloudlink have to do with your battery's BMS? I am asking because I have a cloudlink myself and it does nothing else than report certain data. No management of the batteries afaik.

Hubble batteries are problematic.

I have an AM2 linked to a Sunsynk and I regret installing the Hubble after just 1 year. I battled for 3 months with SOC issues and eventually it spent a month in for repairs - mine was not the BMS issue. By now I would have bought a second battery to start growing my installation. Instead I've got to take out the Hubble, and start again with batteries.

A waste of R25k.

If the Cloudlink was necessary to run Hubbles then they should be included with the purchase of the battery, or a strong recommendation that it needs to be bought with the first purchase. Otherwise we are not comparing battery prices equally.

I also had to spend R500 for a cable to upgrade the firmware, which did nothing for me.

Hubble support is also not great.

In short - don't waste your time on a Hubble.

Hubble advised there is an issue with Sunsynk and version 2.0x and they are still waiting resolution. My other battery on 1.46 works fine.
Something about not communicating cell voltage.
But I know that when I gave the borrowed cloudlink back, the issue with 2.0x battery started again. Hence they giving me a free cloudlink

So this is true, but considering how new
these technologies are, which brand is good.
I know someone had to recently send back their Shoto batteries. Many other batteries are crazy expensive as well

Ok i see. I still don't know what the cloudlink could offer or what solution it provides in your case. To me it is just a paperweight. Like i said AFAIK it does nothing else than report data, data that is pretty much useless anyway.

Ja no look i have a relative that has 2 new hublles, couple of months old at a holiday home. So not even used that much, that are fubar. Leaves a very kak taste in one's mouth. I am happy with mine so far, almost a year in.

From what I read it also acts as Can bus.

I know this is an old thread but the Hubble Cloudlink product is still not working (End of March 2023). And Hubble cant give an estimate of when their developers will have the issues fixed and get it working again.

Expensive piece of plastic.

That said, the AM-5 series batteries perform well. And it has unlimited cycles just like the SunSynk batteries do.

did it ever work?

Mine was upgraded and the portal has a new interface but it never went "down" since nov 2021

My Cloudlink works fine too, after Hubble sent me a new one.
AM-2 Batteries are at 103% SoH, same as they were almost 1 year ago.
