I tried to find out but dint get much help from the local nursery or stodels.Have you found the end point? Where was this root going? That’s a lot of sap for a tree root.
You need to find out what type of root this is.

This song is not going to leave my head for a long timeNothing to add, but the thread made me think of this \m/:
I dont understandYou consider just scarrifying the thing then covering it in sodium metabisulfite?
Did u say 30 meter ?There is an oak tree in my yard that is 30m diameter. Roots appeared in my neighbour’s yard over 25m from the tree and looked very similar to the picture
Drill some holes in that root and throw some sodium metabisulfite granules into the holes, it will turn the wood into pulp, effectively killing the root and making it rot away.I dont understand
3m? Doubt it’s 30m diameter. There is an oak tree in my yard that is 30m diameter. Roots appeared in my neighbour’s yard over 25m from the tree and looked very similar to the picture
Perhaps you're thinking of the trunk only.3m? Doubt it’s 30m diameter.
the one with flowers isnt the problematic one. That one is health, The one next to it was the culpritCrazy! Possible to scan the flowers to identify the tree type?

Bonus: the root turns into compost and you don't have to bother removing it as it will not survive and will degrade quickly.
