Huge issues with latest Windows 10 update

Still having massive disappointment after upgrading both my work laptop and personal computer without any issues.
I know right. Was looking forward to posting on MyBB about how the upgrade screwed up my PC.

One of the reasons I live in the sudo apt upgrade world now. Probably no fewer bugs, but they are fixed as they crop up with little fuss and not hidden below a dozen GUI interfaces.
(And it makes me sound like a big geek, except to the real geeks.)

No you don't sound like a geek, you just don't use PPA's or compile programs yourself - honestly nothing wrong with it though

You prove my point.
I don't think you know what your point was any more. My upgrades worked, again. Same as last time.

Maybe it's not the upgrades that are the problem?

Your 100% success rate is not a 100% overall success rate, but keep denying the obvious like any good fanboy.

And yes, the update process itself is the biggest issue apart from things broken by the updates.

You have provided nothing, zero, zip, nada to support the assertion made in this FUD "news" item. Yet you continue to hammer on about it as if it were hard fact.

As an update, we have had 2 reported issues. One PoS internet camera isn't working and someone had a blue-screen boot because they had an external drive plugged in.

2 consumer-based issues over 1500 machines beats your feelings any day of the week.

Yeah keep denying the obvious. Really the lengths the fanboys are going to to deny that there are issues is just astounding.

Why are you making such a fuss about it, it's pretty rare that Windows messes up, if just 0.0001% of windows users encounter an issue, that's over a hundred thousand users (based on MS stating they have 1bn installs in 2017, though only 400m active users, so 40k users that have issues).

My brother and I have a very similar Lenovo laptop. One l340 Vs l330. I've got an SSD in mine.
My windows updates fly, zero issues install in less than 5 min max.

His takes forever to start installing, and will cause his disk usage to spike to 100% making his machine inoperable for half an hour.
And his Bluetooth will suddenly he gone so his mouse doesn't work

I don't know why you keep denying it. With the number of people reporting issues (even on this forum) it's way more than 0.0001%. Some OSes get a bad name deservingly so. Vista was one, Win10 is another.

Rather ask yourself, why do the people who don't experience issues feel the need to constantly state it?

You know W10 has had quite a few iterations, right? W10 now vs launch has had more differences than Vista to W7.

Maybe because of people like you constantly points out the failures.... just saying.... if you stop talking, they'll stop talking... think about it :D

I don't go looking for the issues. Perhaps if there was nothing to report on... I'd stop talking.
