Of course, but more often than not, annual audits should catch the issues before they get to the point of breaking a company (unless of course the audit firms are in on the whole thing themselves)

My point is that corruption is much easier where incompetent AA individulas are occupying positions they are not suitable for.

Example - every single SOE and municipality.

Which pretty much sums part of what I said. A determined corrupt manager will try to find loopholes and exploit them, even if it means corrupting the rest of his team and auditors.

If the entire chain of command is involved, there's no point hiding it, isn't it?

You don't need incompetent managers there.

Its a video of some idiots dancing pretty much.

We will need to wait for details on what the agreement actually is. If it involves more money being pumped into SAA in any way shape or form then the Unions have won.

Oh, they may have won in the short term, but the long term will be so much more interesting.
 
What it possibly entails :

- SAA to hold off planned retrenchments
- Alleged agreement to establish a task team toreview employee contracts and diagnose procurement problems
- Establish alternative ways of saving money

5.9% increase to be implemented February 2020
and the remaining 2.1% will be done at SAA's discretion (should they have plugged most holes)


NOTE : This is what is possibly in the agreement, we will have to wait for confirmation.

Lol, to be paid with what money? Noone has yet stepped up to lend them the funding they need to continue operations, never mind pay increases.

The government has apparently said there is no money for bail outs, so not sure where they will get the money... (but the government has said this many times, so probably not believable)
