For petrol money, I thinkWhat was her plea initially?

"calls on public to buy tickets "
My apologies, but I can't risk random cancellations in my flight schedules.
The unions act like a natural disaster. Which is one of the only valid reasons, along with militant threats such as terrorism, to cancel all flights to and from a national key point airport.
Any rule or reg that says otherwise is poorly considered.
Or, worse still, you go to Walvis Bay (or some boondocks place), they go on strike, and you have no means of getting back home.Yeah, although I never used them before, I will surely never use them now. Who knows when the union members will go on strike again and leave me out of pocket scrambling to make new flight arrangements...
Won't they book you on Air Namibia flight?Or, worse still, you go to Walvis Bay (or some boondocks place), they go on strike, and you have no means of getting back home.
There is a separate Dudu thread, rather post there: https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/threads/no-petrol-money-dudu-myeni-has-known-about-the-court-dates-for-two-years.1050140/What was her plea initially?
Thanks, will keep all things Dudu to that thread. There is a separate Dudu thread, rather post there: https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/threads/no-petrol-money-dudu-myeni-has-known-about-the-court-dates-for-two-years.1050140/
Technically they should, but the problem is - Air Nam need to be paid, and if SAA is broke, and cannot afford to buy you a ticket, what then?Won't they book you on Air Namibia flight?

You mean like a monopoly route?A good list. What I meant was, where do only SAA fly direct in your particular use case?
This irvin jim kunt needs to be put out of our misery.
Unions: We-should-
SAA has just suspended the Hong Kong route -- though, in my opinion, this is more to do with a reduction in demand owing to the political situation in Hong Kong (other airlines are also cutting back on Hong Kong) and less to do with SAA's own problems (though this is surely a contributing factor).SAA operates direct flights from Johannesburg to the following destinations:

They cited the ongoing political situation as the cause.SAA has just suspended the Hong Kong route -- though, in my opinion, this is more to do with a reduction in demand owing to the political situation in Hong Kong (other airlines are also cutting back on Hong Kong) and less to do with SAA's own problems (though this is surely a contributing factor).
That's inaccurate. Those are codeshare destinations. SAA fly to less than half on that list.SAA operates direct flights from Johannesburg to the following destinations:

That's true -- hadn't had my morning coffee when I looked at the list the first time. (It was just Hong Kong that jumped out at me from the posted list initially). That's inaccurate. Those are codeshare destinations. SAA fly to less than half on that list.
Yup, zombie SAA.Came in expecting the limb with gangrene/flesh eating disease to have been amputated. Instead we are cleaning it with salt water. Success
