Hunter Levelling Build...

After the current changes... BM hunters - Our pets now do around 50% of our total damage. The WF totem nerf ONLY applies to the hunter, not the pet :D
As for haste + attack speed : you do not want to get your shot speed to below 1.5, GCD will murder your damage output. If you can keep your attack speed above 1.5 and push everything into raw AP and crit (if your crit is below 33.33% unbuffed), then you will crush dps meters.

A ton of our abilities were added to GCD, so be careful for too much hasting :p

I want to agree with you, but also want to follow my own head on this one ;)
At the moment I am experimenting with raw haste, and enjoying every moment of it. Fully raid haste buffed, I pushed my attack speed well below 1.5 s on Brutalus on Thursday evening and had absolutely no problem in maintaining ~3k dps for the entrire fight. Note I did this before I got my 4 piece t6 bonus. My pet were doing about 1.2k dps, so he is doing less than 50% of my dps.
Raid buffed my crit is around 43% now, so I am looking forward to experiment a bit with the 4 piece bonus and a slight change in my spec again. Took the 30% more damage on special shot crits, in the place of more raw pet damage.

My attack speed with current setup is around 1.96s. I dont use rotation macros at the moment and just keep fireing SS.

I bought a copy of the WoW Battle Chest from Look & Listen. They had a sale last week. It was going for R325.00

I had to laugh at this after reading all the posts about guys trying to download the whole game. If you probably just phoned the likes of Take2, BT and Look & Listen, they could help you out :D

I've been pouring over every Hunter thread & piece of info I can find, about shot rotations, conserving Mana, something about beating drums & Leatherworking... I actually find it appealing & not too daunting.

By any chance, do you know of any Hunter specific forums apart from the Official WoW one?

Thanks again for your advice. You've actually inspired me to continue with my Hunter now. Cheers!

google is your friend. seriously. cut & paste this "wow hunter guide"

The problem is that there are thousands of these guides out there, it is still fair to ask other hunters like on this forum which of those guides are worth while following.

You could get a guide written by our one guildy who is a Durid lol, rerolled to huntard to mage...

He blinked off the one balcony in kz last night, not once, mind you

/facepalm

We went in to engage Archimonde in MH last night, one of our hunter's pulled Archimonde and forgot to put missdirection on MT :D

instant wipe. spectacular. we all cheered :)

Excellent :)

Same mage decided to blink/poly/frost nova on the the pull for Malcrass before myself and the mt had got into range :P

We had a discussion with our one guildy who has decided to try his hand at healing and was asking about mana conservation, we told him the best way to conserve mana is to not heal said mage.

Instances start with taking bets on how many times he will die :P

Was having to explain to out MT why Jin'rohk, The Great Apocalypse was a decent hunter weapon for it's raw ap and haste

I'd just say either:
- Coz all loot is hunter loot
- Coz it looks the shizz and chicks dig it
=P

Anyhow, the real issue is that most of the time other classes see 2 handers as a melee PvP weapon and don't even consider the stats sitting on the weapon itself and how it may benefit other classes like us hunters. Sad really.
