HyperV 2016 defragmentation

Good morning all

We got MS HyperV 2016 (the CLI version) running some of our VM's.

I have deleted a couple of old and decommissioned VM's, but now I want to know if it is possible to run a disk defragger on HyperV itself, as I want to consolidate all free space.

Who have done such a thing, and was it worth it?

Is the server running on SSD's? If so, then don't defrag it, it's not going to do anything worth while and just eat up disk writes.
