I'm sure you'll be fine on most game drives. The Hyundai doesn't have the greatest ground clearance but it is much better than a 'platkar'. Just take it slow on dirt roads and stay clear of any Grade 2-4 off road tracks.

so i know this is a 4X2, which i will not change, however lets say for instance i wanna go to kruger on a trail or even the lion park self drive, Do u think this 4X2 will handle those places. Cos the other day we went down to PMB Lion Park and they turned me away cos of my GTI being to low profile. We def wont do off road stuff just basic dirt roads and game drives, so i hope i can get away with that at least.

If a old Merc W123 can go up and down Sani Pass I don't see why you can't go on a game drive with the ix35

I've driven one to the berg and it did feel a bit 'pap' if I could call it that.

But its a 2.0L, cant be that bad. Anycase it does have a manual type box too, so i guess that will help when in need of the extra power or pull.

Yeah but its a pretty big car. It needs either a turbo or a 2.5l IMO.

So Yesterday we took delivery of this baby. I must say true value for money. The ride suprisingly was very good apart from the light steering but otherwise very good. The power for this 2.0L auto is not bad for mostly city driving. The interior does not feel as cheap as many people say. You cant compare to German Brands as in Merc, VW, etc....But i feel its better than other brands like our EX honda Jazz & def toyota. You feel safe when u in it to which is a big plus. Overall I think for the price of 295K this is a Bargain. Also the space inside is amazing. U feel comfortable whether you in front or back and the boot is WOW at 591L it can hold alot. Well bottom line wife happy then i am happy. Anycase if i need speed then i just go and sit in my G6 GTI and act like a racer....hehehehe. Well i think i got my first ticket in the ix35 car only 4km into our journey from the dealer but hey have to test it out.

Anyway guys for those thinking about it, DONT, just get it. Although i could have went up to 400k in buying a new car, i just saved 100k (HELLO BIG SCREEN) and am still very happy with what i got.
