I am pissed off!! VW mororplan does not work!@#$

This should be covered as service is not determined by mileage rather by the OBC! Fight your @ss off to make sure they do the service!

ABSA has nothing to do with this as your relationship is between VW. It is for this reason I alway opt for BMW Motorplan.

Park the car for 53 days and take it to them then, 1 year later:D
 
Guys and Gals,

Still looking for anyone who has had a bad experience with the above dealer.

Sister forked out +2k today. Not right, she has a wedding in the making in 96 hours so she is focussed on priorities.

Let me know cos its gonna go further.

Looks like I will not have the car back in time to drive to the venue and help out. miffed.

Lemme tell you my story.

I had a golf 5 gti 2005 model (April 2008). I bought the car last year December from Lindsay Saker in Edenvale and the Mileage was 48000 odd. About a month ago I was driving on the freeway between William Nicol and Malibongwe. I pushed my clutch in and It didnt want to come out again. It started working again and I pulled in by VW Srijdompark (mileage was 59400) I told them what happened and a teqnician came out pushed my clutch in and out a few times and told me there was nothing wrong. I left and went to my office in Sandton City. Coming up Sandton Drive the clutch started slipping. I had the vehicle towed in ti Rivonia VW. They stripped the car and told me that the clutch disintegrated and that means its user abuse. The phoned absa (who did the maintenance plan)

These idiots told absa it was user abuse and they refused to pay. I asked them what about the warranty. Thy told me that it expired and therefore it wont cover it. I also took an extended maintenance plan. I phoned these guys and they told me they have a clause that wont cover any wear and tear product for the first 10000km.

No my arguement is that these fukcers at VW edenvale should have told me that i need to extend my warranty. Furhtermore they said to me that the extended maintenace plan will cover everything - which was a lie.

I ended up paying 14600 out my pocket and sold the piece of ****. I would never drive a golf again. I dont care how people feel about opels but i bought a gtc Turbo Sport that comes standard with a 90000km maintenance plan. I love this car. She is black and beautifull.

And secondly a GTI is suppose to handel the wrap whatever it gets. Afterall its suppose to be a high performance car and costs 250k so why the hell is it so crap????? And best off al i didnt hammer the car

That is a motorplan by ABSA not VW itself, the motorplan from VW self is very good!
ABSA is the real sharks!
It could be that they didn't reset the OBC service warning.
The golfs and jetta's have the same type of warning and is based on km's and or time, not sensors!
If it was serviced @ 88500KM and it is now on 100000KM then it is definetely a fasle warning just let them reset it and do the service later.
The polo you just hold certain buttons in and it is reset -Stated in VW manual.

There is actually good reasoning for this. The oil degrades and starts breaking down. So even if its not a full service at least change the oil if you haven't hit the km's required.

I bet you wont be impressed if the motor breaks because the oil isn't doing its job.

Fair enough point - I didn't think of that - but on that note, I probably won't have the car at that stage - Poor bugger who buys it. :rolleyes:
 
Bad news there GrumPs.

Makes one wonder what this is all about.

I read the maintenance plan from ABSA(assume you still had 600km on the original)

Covers everything except for top up fluids, tyres.

So, included is brakes/disk/windscreen wipers & CLUTCH.

Next time take it up with ombudsman, they are trying there luck.

When my turbo miraculously didn't work after my last service, VW tells me its not covered. I call ABSA, no it is covered!!!@#$

Took me 8 calls and 3 days to get it sorted, but they paid.

I love VW but I hear your sentiments, its BS:(

I have a Golf 4 tdi 2004 (+ 2000 GTI, love Golfs). Got it at a good price last year. It has a motor plan to 100K km.

OK, problem is....

The last service I had was at +/- 88.5k km in June last year.

In the this month the OBC said I needed a service. Thankfully, so I thought, I had only 99k km on the clock. Very good I thought. Especially since the clutch was going.

Now there are some issues that I would appreciate feedback on.

1. It seems ABSA are sponsoring the motor plan??? They have refused to pay for the 105k km (99k km) service. This is due to the fact that 12 months have not passed??? (See copy of email from Barons Culemborg, CT) Surely when the OBC states it is time for the service it is due? Is there any action I can take to make them pay as THEIR (VW) product told me to take it for a service??

2. The shocks are shot. VW dealership tells me that they cannot tell if the shocks are "worn" unless they are leaking. I have to take it to Hi Q for a test. I do not mind this, except that Hi Q is 20m (Not joking here) from the dealer!!! WTF

3. There was some pulsating when braking, minor but discernable. The bugger told me it was ABS???? WTF I explained that this was my granny car and I did not drive it like the gti!! s**t, I think I know what ABS feels like. Seems they are replacing disks up front (see below). But still, what if my wife had of taken the car in????

Well the real question is why TF will they not honour the service motor plan?

Surely if the beautiful tdi needs a service it tell you?

Why should ABSA/VW renege on the motor plan when it actually falls under the service plan?

I was considering extending the motor plan but this effort is putting me off.

Just wait the extra month otherwise if it is really bad then you would have to fix it yourself or pay to have it fixed.
Your polo tdi doesn't do enough km's but it is serviced yearly.
Bought:16 July2005
1st service: 16 July 2006
2nd: August 2007- they didn't know the car was there in july.
3rd:16 July 2007 / in july before/after date

I know with ford you have to service petrol cars 2500KM before/after the required km, diesel 1500KM. NoN Maintenance plan-R700/service, R1200 Major
If you are scared the oil will breakdown then do the oil change self or ask some other cheaper reputable mech, but it will still have to be serviced @ the specified km/time by a reputable VW Dealer.

If the correct oil(Special Shell Helix 5W30 VW505.1 rated for use in Seat/VW) was put in @ the last service then it should be fine for atleast a year/ the required km's.
