I got a Lumia 1020

I've been playing with this for a few days now and this phone is amazing. The picture quality is mindblowing. The video's are great too (very clear and smooth).

I wish they'd make a standalone prosumer camera. A phone has a shelf life of 2 years at the max, my old 12MP P&S I've had for about 6 years now but it's showing it's age.

Gasp. Popped into the local Vodashop yesterday. They quoted me R13 120 for a 1020. Apoplexy attack.

Nokia announced at a press event in Johannesburg on Thursday, 7 November 2013, that it has launched the Lumia 1020 in South Africa.

Vodacom had previously revealed that it plans to offer the Nokia Lumia 1020 during November.

According to a Nokia spokesperson, the Lumia 1020 will be available on Vodacom’s Smart S contract for R399 per month and has a recommended retail price of R9,499.
