i got the ps3

I think when the Wii is out in SA it will have plenty of character when people have a go at each other with the Wii-motes... :p
 
I got the PS3 and I think its really good for what I need. I am not looking for a pure game console, I was looking for a media center. So now I can play excellent games, surf the net (no more tv guides it all online just flick to AV), Copy photos and slideshow it, is it as a music center, Watch DVD that you copy to the 60GB drive. I loaded Media center on my pc in my room and now I log on to my pc from the PS3 and copy the converted movies, photos and music to my ps3 hdd. No more watching Heroes or Prison break on my laptop.

and there are many more tips and tricks. I had a bit buyers blues but as soon as I hit the forums it all unfolded.

Wicked machine and I am super happy with it now.
 
It all depends on what you actually want from it.

I want a games console only. If it can act as a move player great but that is about it....

So currently I cannot justify the cost of the PS3... when it has games I need then I will relook at it.
 
The media center works great.... I converted some BBC stuff and copied it to my PS3 and the quality and ease of use is just great. I had a look at that Oblivion game and thinking of getting it. It looks a bit like World of Warcraft.

When I got my Wii i was so excited my hands were shaky ! It's so cool can go on and on and on.
 
If I am not mistaken the PS3 version of Oblivion will come with the expansion Shivering Isles as well. Kinda like a bonus for the PS3 players.

To the contrary my understanding is that the PS3 version ships with a large percentage of the exisiting 360 DLC, but there is no plan to release Shivering Isle for PS3 currently.
 
Most of the SA shops is on back order. So I will hang on a bit and see if the price does not come down if its more freely available.
