I hate my iPhone 12 Pro

Fair enough. It’s going to be difficult to notice anything if you don’t have an X to hand, so for the vast majority of owners such as me there is no issue whatsoever. I’d suggest you flog your X and it’ll normalise soon enough ;)
Of course it’s going to be difficult – most people aren’t as perceptive as others, nor do they care. The overly aggressive True Tone is easily the dead giveaway though, and even less perceptive people would notice it when they’re used to paper-weight backgrounds in the past.

Note that the 11s are also said to be Yellow – whether under too aggressive True Tone or not, I don’t know as I held out until the 12 before upgrading. My partner had the XS before, which is the same as the X’s screen, etc.

The point is that Apple are supposed to be consistent in providing ‘the best’ products (relatively speaking), as they’re known for, and which I expect after paying a lot of money, with improvements in all areas, or at least most areas and the same in others – and not taking steps backwards, at all.

Still no answers as to why the 12s (or 12 Pro only?) take a moment to fully load photos. They start off unsharp, and it takes a moment for the sharpness to load. Why?

Here is an article on how to bypass this "issue"

TLDR: Turning on Settings > Camera > Photos Capture Outside the Frame will disable Deep Fusion (on the iPhone 11 afaik should work on 12 too)

Random question, but is nightshift enabled? I think that was what its called.
The thing where it adjusts the colour tones to remove blues after a certain time of the day.
Both my phone and macbook do it, its a little weird at first but definitely easier on the eyes.

If you're that unhappy I advise selling it - they sell quickly - nothing worse than having to live with something that irks you all the time.

I appreciate the latest constructive replies.

Indeed, those are/were my thoughts at the end of the day. Obviously want to keep the 12 Pro, also wanted to move my X as its battery is now on 84% health (amazing for a 3 year old well-used phone) so that I wouldn't have to pay for a battery replacement.

So I've been trying a few suggestions and one that seems to have led to a less Yellow screen is, under a bright light, toggling True Tone off and on again several times in quick succession. With my X and 12 Pro side-by-side now, the Yellowness is less noticeable. I do still feel the 12 Pro lacks contrast - the screen just doesn't seem as punchy/vibrant as the X. Will just have to live with it.

The new iPhone12 is deep man. Deep Fusion, Deep Yellows...

The iPhone screen is the most advanced piece of display technology on the planet. They spent thousands of houses of research and personal effort from the techs making it.

The problem must be with you, and the anti-Apple propaganda websites you’re prob reading :)
Thousands of houses? Wow thats a lot and the Samsung is actually better ;)
