For some unknown reason, while I loathe movie remakes, I can't get enough game remakes.
I wish that "they"'d remake:
1. STUNTS - an old dos driving game where you could design your own track and then race on it. You could add loads of unrealistic track-elements, such as jumps, obstacles, loops and the notorious "corkscrew". I'd love to see a remake, with modern graphics, modern physics and a LAN feature.
2. Transport Tycoon - that old transport simulator. Many games have tried, they all get it wrong. If only they'd take the same formula and slap some pretty '08 graphics and sound on top of it - plus LAN.
3. X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter - the definitive space shooter - with balls! These guys were so confident in their game, it wouldn't even launch unless you had a joystick plugged in. A joystick is, after all, the only real way to control a space fighter! (although any analogue stick on a game pad would also work.) Again, new graphics and LAN features required.
What would you like to see in full DirectX 10?
