I might defect from BB...

ok, installed whatsapp on my phone and the favs list was rather long... didnt know so many ppl were using this app!

gonna install on the SO's phone and test it for a week or so to see how it works (or if its reliable)

meanwhile I read millions of reviews...... :)

I was also very surprized. I think it is apparent that the Hemmoroid and Frot Appels have been talking behind the Berries backs! *cross*

You can't stay a crapberry cheapskate forever.

Come play with the big boys. :p

One thing that also worries me about going android is that most of the phones is Touch screen. I am that kind of person where if I find a cupboard open that someone did not close I go ape sht...and I am the same with my phone. I can not stand finger marks on my screen. I am constantly wiping my BB as it is to get the smudges off etc etc. I am scared if I go for a touch screen Android I might actually land up in the loony bin!!!!!!

Stop picking your nose, then the screen won't smudge.

mmmm not sure how reliable whatsapp is. Some of the people that I send a message to only gets one tick...wich means the message not delivered to them?

This is the interesting point that I don't fully understand. When it gets the one tick mark then it is "halfway" in effect, but now the problem I mentioned earlier about the contact list not updating correctly also causes this. If I send a txt to somebody that has deleted the app it obviously stays on one tick mark cause it never gets delivered.

The big question now is how the hell do you fully update the contact list. I have tried everything, but still all the people that had the app on shows on my list, even though I use the refresh function till Im blue in the face!

Whatsapp is unfortunately just not as good as bbm. I love BIS but my torch is the worst phone I've ever owned. Makes me wanna jump ship too ;-)

When using it from a Bb? I can understand.

From iPhone/Android, it's better.

I use it on an iphone too. Its just unreliable. Bbm is at least solid.
I wouldn't consider whatsapp an instant messenger because the whatsapp network seems to be very flaky at times.

nah man, don't know what WhatsApp you are taling about, but there are never problems and I have had it since the release for Android. Other than the contacts problem its like sending an SMS/MMS for me.

It's not his nose that he's picking...

It hasn't been a problem for me, the phone lives in my pocket so gets cleaned all the time ;)

My GF has it on her iphone, and I have friends with it on their BB or other phones. Messages often don't go through, or are significantly delayed. Great when it works, but its definitely not 100% reliable. Not for me or my friends who use it.

Ja, I also have some difficulty with it, but I suspect it is just my friends that put of there data connection etc on there android devices to save some battery.
