I need a good, small, phone.

So, a month ago I decided I want to carry a business and personal phone. Excellent idea as far as I'm concerned, and it's working.

One thing that has been bothering me slightly is carrying two big phones. At the moment, I am carrying an E90 and an N95. Much better than the two E90's I was carrying last week, but still a pain.

I want to get rid of one of them, and get a small phone...very small. Don't need a camera, don't need tons of memory, although a microSD slot would be nice. I do need to be able to syncronise with my exchange server at home, which Nokia S60 and UIQ3 can both do.

Most importantly, the phone needs to be slim and small, very usable and cheap (I don't wanna shell out another 5k on a another phone)
 
If it is only for phone purposes you could look at a 2nd hand Nokia 8310i,
their battery life is very good, (with new battery) and they are small.

PS. It will probably cost between R300 and R500.
 
The N76 is fraught with problems. The other day I saw a Nokia E51 and I was blown away by it. As a previous Nokia E61 user I was tired of using the Symbian operating system at a snails pace. Nokia wisened up to this fact and released a phone with Symbian and 96 MB of RAM. My friend showed me how he can open every single program on the phone plus other downloaded software and it was still fast.

The E51 is also very slim and frankly I think the best phone in terms of functionality at the moment.

There is no such thing as a Nokia 8310i only a 8310. Mono screen with almost Nokia 6310i battery life!

If you're looking for a decent 2nd phone I'd suggest the Nokia 6120 Classic. Nice and slim, OK its Sybian but it also has HSDPA!

Totally against you. I sold quite a few N76s and my customers come in every week to say how happy they are with the phone, and especially with the web browser
 
E51 looks the business in terms of spec. Small, fast and HSDPA isn't bad at all! N76 seems nice too, I like flip phones!

Pity about that, because the Nokia 1200 would be something you can look at. It's a basic phone, no GPRS, 3G or fancy shiznis stuff, just a plain basic phone.

Already 7 days elapsed without having to charge its battery :D

I bought it for R180 at House and Home.
 
Yeah the E51 is perfect for your requirements, broken1. Also been considering it for myself. Email push, hsdpa and relative cheap. Reviews say camera isn't great, but who cares with that :D
