I need help urgently please

Hi guys,

Guess what, that lovely graphcis card I bought the other, it's FUBAR!
Ya!
I need to get hold of a PCI or PCI Express graphics card urgently.
I don't have money, so I am sorta hoping that someone in CPT central can loan me one till I can have my card swopped out (taking it in first thing monday morning)

I have a ton of stuff I need to do and I need my PC up and running, if you don't want to loan me the card, I can buy it, but hopefully, it won't cost much.

Please guys, hoping to have my PC up and running ... 5 minutes ago! lol!

Interestingly enough, I have 2x AGP cards lying here I can't use because I don't have a bloody AGP slot!!!! :)

Oh no.

Sorry mate. I have a spare 6800GS and 7600GT (both pci-e) lying around, you could have used, had I been in CPT.

Symptoms of the card?
 
Lines when the computer starts up, as it gets into Windows, dots all over the show, and then when its fully in windows, goes off completely.

I took it to a friend, tried his card, pc works fine.

So it's def the graphics card.
 
I have 2 LCD's, both had the same problem, the 2nd LCD connects via D-SUB/DVI convertor, it's def not pins xrapidx.

I noticed a few corruptions in graphics since I got the card, but it wasn't too serious (faded blocks in games) but clearly, it was because not the card is dead.
 
I'll check tomorrow if I still have some old pc stuff lying around in the garage......
 
Can't afford to do that, but also, I have alot of work I need to do before Monday! :(

So waiting till Monday is going to make life very difficult for me.
 
Damn i would help if i didnt live in jozi , if push comes to shove try the classifieds in the sunday times , or maybe cash converters ( i dont know if they sell gpu's though , lol)
 
Someone PM me gdizas number, I have an option of 2 cards he can borrow. HD2400 or a 8800GTS 640 depending on whether this work he is talking about is gaming research or not;)
 
Lol, of course I do. My rig is in the middle of my i7 upgrade so I have no use for either until later this week.

I got hold of him, we'll sort it out later.
