Recently it does this weird thing where it acts like it has a dead battery.

However, resting voltage is 12.8, and running voltage is 14.5.

Wtf?

Other than that its a fantastic wee ivtec.

Connect something to the battery when the car isnt running and see how far the battery drains in a short space of time
A camping fridge for example

Yes, the battery will show 14.5 volts when car is running coz that is the voltage coming from the alternator

Ignition on, engine off, switch on headlights for a few minutes and measure.. you just need a load while the battery is not getting charged by the alternator..

Battery sits on 12.14. After a couple of minutes I get 12.09.
