I was in Paris during the attacks

Thank heavens you okay abzo and thanks for sharing. :( Hope those buggers are caught.

Good to know you are okay abzo

On another note. Has anyone taken responsibility for the attack yet?

So is it true there's a curfew right now?

Real martial law kind of stuff?
Shoot to kill and all that?

Sad that this takes place in such a beautiful city.

Think this is becuse of that Charlie hebdo thing.

None of the police approached even spoke English. They wouldn't even try to explain, they'd just dismiss you. But I suppose it was a stressful situation for them.

Not everybody is bowing down to the language of the antichrist :P

According to news reports the terrorists were screaming about Frances involvement in Syria.

Makes me wonder if refugees were involved.

Next time take marine1 with you. Then you know you are safe what ever goes down.

Probably not. It's ISIS. The guys the refugees are running away from.

Most of the refugees are not fleeing ISIS but the regime's seiges and bombardments of syrian cities.

No, it's because of the terrorist attacks. Get your priorities straight, FFS.

Wow dude, just turned on SkyNews, the also showed the moment during the game when the bomb went off:

Glad you're ok!

There doesn't seem to be any curfew. Currently out on the champs elysees and it's seemingly normal. A lot/most of the places are closed though. The Lourve, Eiffel Tower etc and majority of shops.

With all the police around, it's probably the safest day to be in Paris.

EUR150 to hire a bike? That's a bit excessive...

No. It means our currency is worth shirt. It just shows you how much YOUR work is worth. A French Hollande voter may work 6 hours a day posting some bullsh-t at some French rag and he could end up being paid as much as a brain surgeon in SA.

We were planning to go to a relative's wedding in the UK and then stop by to visit family in Paris. Glad did not go.

The red pointer is the Bataclan where the hostage situation took place. The blue dot is where I am (2km Away). The match was in Saint Denis towards the top of the map. I cycled right through the area without knowing what was going on because there was no communication in English. I even stopped at the Bastille to look around, only to find out later that it was around the scene of one of the shootings. I thought it was just precautionary measures or perceived threat after the events in Toulon earlier this week.

What did you think the explosions were? They sounded pretty loud over the football audio.

If these is not a state of emergency in Paris then the media CNN cannot be trusted
