Lovely.

Don't know what to make of it - seems they don't want you to build up a couple of gigs over a couple of months...

So if you recently boosted your bandwidth, you'll have to use it all up, or it's forfeit...

I don't know whether this will apply to normal bandwidth which gets "rolled over"...

AFAIK iBurst SA's data rollover has only ever been valid for one month after the data was originally purchased.

I was just about to say that ic. It's always only been carried over for one month.

Eg If you're on a 2.5 gig package and use nothing, 2.5 gigs gets carried over to next month.

If you still don't use anything only 2.5gigs will be carried over.

Yeah nothing new as it's been that way since they brought in the carryover.

Hi all

Still the same. If you look at the pic its helpdesk.wbs.co.za ??????

Hi Shaun, nice to see you on the forum and posting again :).

According to whois.co.za, the domain wbs.co.za is registered as follows:

Your bandwidth monitor has always been on helpdesk.wbs.co.za, but the monthly rollover has also always been for 1 month only.

when I was on the iburst I always used helpdesk.wbs.co.za

We do cater for these. Some users have not opted for using our iBurstgroup domain when mailing us. Would not like these mails to get lost, however, if you receive a mail from us it WILL BE from a iBurstgroup mail address.

Hope this clarifies.

Cheers all

In your first post you called this someones "artwork" and made as if helpdesk.wbs.co.za is fake, what are you clarifying?

helpdesk.wbs.co.za is the right address and that message is what every iBurst user here is seeing, it's also correct. This isn't an email its a pop-up you get when checking your bandwidth btw.

IMO it's safe to say this thread has run its course and can now be closed, if anyone [including Shaun] disagrees, send me a p.m. and I will consider reopening the thread.
I have just re-opened this thread on request via p.m., looking at the wording of iBurst SA's popup message, it is actually ambiguous and does [incorrectly] suggest that iBurst SA is summarily cancelling its Rollover scheme - obviously not the intended message.

@Shaun Green, trust me on this one, the wording of the message needs to be changed, perhaps if the message dynamically includes the month names [e.g. February 2008 and March 2008, adjusted as necessary in the code that generates the popup], it will be clearer.

Shaun

That was a screenshot I made when checking out one of our customer's remaining bandwidth.

In no way did I alter or enhance the original screenshot, nor did I create some message from scratch.

Hope this clarifies things.

Thank you

Libs

Is Iburst not referring to "purchased bandwidth" only and normal accounts are not affected by this.

guru - iirc frm my iburst days, i think even the monthly cap was subject to a one month rollover. so if not used at thend of two months, you forfeit it. Current iBurst users will be able to verify or reject this.
