Yes international browsing is not working no I am not expecting things to get resolved in 10mins or even a day or two.

The thing that bothers me is the fact that there is no formal communication. I cannot find any info on the iBurst website that states/acknowledges there is an issue and they are looking into it or even a possible ETA. Poekiej posted he had spoken to them and they are aware but there is no formal communication.

IMO a little communication would go a long way in providing some form of comfort knowing the issue being worked on. I as a "customer" expect this regardless of the severity of the issue, if its going to affect me in some way which could cause possible outages I would like to know, yes I would be annoyed at the time but I wouldn't go home expecting to game/work online using iBurst and then end up phoning the call center in an angered state trying to find out if its me or the iBurst network.

In the end according to some posts iBurst are aware of the current issues regarding international bandwidth, however I had to go out of my way to source the info from multiple people not even working at iBurst which is unacceptable.

And just a FYI:- I dont expect the Engineers to do this its not their job to communicate they work overtime and stay up all hours troubleshooting issues, but surely iBurst have a person to handle PR/Marketing/Admin related issues like news updates etc?

There was some communication on their Twitter account on February 6:

We r aware that connectivity was down in areas earlier today. Our techs r monitoring the problem. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Actually, I agree with Stõrmza. Sure, iBurst did give some communication over Twitter and Facebook, but that was regarding the downtime experienced on Wednesday. Obviously, the problem has persisted in one way or another, but it would be great if iBurst could give us further updates. More than that, they should post those updates on their actual website, as well as Facebook and Twitter. Hell, they should even post something here. I did notice that they have done at least this much since yesterday.

So there's technical difficulties with the Radio Network in Joburg? Of course, this is just my interpretation the information seen. It's not really satisfactory, hence the need for more detailed updates.

[Edit]
Looks like they've now put out a more recent updates of the situation on Facebook and Twitter. Also, after looking at the Network Status, it shows that there are no longer any technical difficulties regarding the Radio Network in Joburg?

Yes I managed to get hold of some one via twitter, but the point still stands proactive rather then reactive :)
