I take it billing will go better if you go with iburst through mweb? I had Iburst a long time ago but thinking of getting it again due to moving..

Don't. Mweb take your money on behalf of ibust, but when ibust screws up and claims that you owe R4000 Mweb takes it from you and then tells you there is nothing they can do and refer you to ibust.

A very messy circle.

It cannot be emphasized enough.

Stay away from iBurst until they get the message to fix their accounts department and network system.

That just seems retarded. Unless you know of this happening first hand I cant see how mweb would sign you as their customer and then flog u off to iburst when theres a problem. Ok, network problems they obviously cant help but your account is payed to mweb and they are responsible for that.

Tell that to Mweb when ibust "decides" that your account is in arrears and tells mweb you owe ibust R4000.

Do you really think mweb is gona go: "Sure ibust, let me pay you out of my own pocket and then see if the client wants to pay up"?

Yea right. The ibust accounts department is a disaster and there is nothing resellers can do about it.

Pilgrim is correct, it does not matter which reseller you go through you still end up been billed by the cursed iburst accounts department.

Anyone that knows about how this company runs deserves all the problems he/she is going to have if he/she decides to take the plunge.

Well then i guess it is a hopeless matter... guess i was just lucky to not have had any problems.... *touch wood*

oh no im going to leave iburst this month!!!
i hope they dont stuff me around :(

So the resellers don't keep track of your account? So I pay a reseller for 7 months. iBurst says I have paid for 3. The reseller then allows my account to be debited for 4 months they know I have paid? That's a case of farud against the reseller right there.

phew... went with a wisp and are happy. I think I'm even getting a better service than ADSL or Iburst.. cheaper.. but not faster but who needs speed if you are poor and capped to hell..

no more expensive telkom, no Iburst worries....

pilgrim - i have to ask. has what i described happened to you or someone you know?

EDIT: How has the debit order when when you go with a reseller like mweb? mweb or iburst? that will answer my question.

Been using Tradepage on 4 iBurst accounts for > 2 years, never had a billing issue...
I used to have a few more accounts than that with Tradepage and I have now got rid of all except one. I have also had the "oops we forgot that you canceled that account" nonsense with Tradepage's debit orders.

In my experience the rot is a little more widespead at Tradepage. I've had numerous issues with their technical, sales, accounts, admin and management. I had a list - but I binned it after I had given them some feedback to the "why could you possibly want to leave us" speech. :(

Dont u provide similar services to Tradepage and hence they are your competition ?

We are an ISP and they are an ISP therefore we must be in competition.... riiiiiiiiiight?!?! Are you suggesting that my comments are not factual?

Where do you get the assumption from that we deal in the same services?

No need to get defensive.Just asking a question with no strings attached

Agreed, since their “restructuring” service levels have dropped noticeably, however compared to most “ISP’s” (resellers) they still deliver reasonable SLA’s and fortunately I’ve not needed to alter any accounts during this period.

so who has the debit order? iburst or the reseller?

The reseller holds the debit order; I would’ve cancelled all the accounts should it have been iBurst!

if the reseller has the debit order than surely they don't have a leg to stand when iburst says you owe money on your account, unless the reseller has not been on paying iburst.
