iBurst nails existing subscribers

The only good deal out of this is to stay with the same pricing structure i.e if you were on the 3.5gig @ R599/month you move to the 5gig @ R599... at least there's extra 2gigs for the same price you use to pay for.

My question is, why should we be forced to go through the process of migration to a package that costs the same. For one reason and one reason only - iBurst are money-grubbing whores.

To do an automatic migration would and should be a simple, seamless process, but that would mean actually having to do something of value for your client and we all know that we should be praising the ground iBurst walks on at the mere fact that we have been graced with the privilege of using their product and we are expendable.

Nobody mentions that it will take iBurst accounts dept about 6 months to actually get to your request. Wont be surprised if they start charging their customers for waiting too. Nevertheless, they have lost me as a customer for good. Just wish Neotel will start offering retail services.

Is it just me or does iBurst seem alot like Apple. I don't just mean the name (just realised it) but their attitude towards customers, like they couldn't care less about them and are always finding was to overcharge them.

Bazaar comparison ??? Apple has been voted one of the most innovative and customer focused companies with there products and actually provide you with a physical product

IBurst sounds more like someone bribed someone who bribed someone to get a license and give a second rate service.

i realised what kind of company iburst where when they jacked up they top up prices about this time last year. moved to 4mb adsl (from a G9 account) and have never looked back.

in my eyes, a company that is willing to keep old packages on its books after a package reshuffle is one that is constantly looking at the books and thinking where can we screw our customers. bcoz that is exactly what this is.

clearly ICASA is not going to look after us in this regard. the question is what can we do to switch the power to the consumer hands?

i despise iburst.

I used to be an iBurst customer aswel since 2004 but decided to go with ADSL last year (just had a hunch I had to), and reading this post I am so glad I did move.

What disappoints me is that in 2004 when Telkom was just about your only option iBurst was a blessing, they had great future plans, promises and fairly good coverage (for a new wireless ISP). I was realy impressed and happy with them....so much so I got most of my family members to join iBurst (family techie/advisor:D), but now after reading this and other posts I am going to inform them to NOT renew their contracts or cancel their existing m2m contractrs with iBurst and go for alternatives.

iBurst, you have become the monster Telkom is.....shame on you!!!!

iburst bought by vodacom owned by telkom....why are we surprised ?

I will be cancelling my iBurst month to month very shortly. I have Zero respect for companies that think they can bully consumers around. All while the big cheese rakes in the bux. Stuff that!!! Not on my watch buddy. . . I can only hope that they go bankrupt. Greed won’t get you anywhere! Not even to mention that most of this and last week I can’t even connect to iburst and all they can do is blame load shedding! Maybe they hiking the rates to pay for some generators?

Subscribers are going to drop their iBurst accounts the minute Neotel get their arse into gear...

I mean, its been what close to almost 4 years now and all they can offer me is 1mbps at R599? Neotel is introducing their service at 2.4mbps @ R499 and have plans by June next year to upgrade to 14mbps...

Can't wait for the day to cancel my account with them...... I miss my 24mbps line when I was overseas :( :( :(
