iburst problems still?

I had the same last ngiht. Couldn't log into MSN, but Yahoo worked fine, as did Skype.

MSN works fine this morning...
 
Everything worked after about 11pm last night.

Ironically, it was after re-installing my ISDN modem, (I just HAD to get my mail) and logging into my old Mweb account - which, for some reason, I just couldn't get to work properly.

In desperation I tried Iburst again. Sure enough, my Iburst UTD, having seen another modem muscle into its space, pulled out its finger and stopped f---ing around. It must be female.
 
Had the same problems last night. I'm in the Weltevreden Park area, so probably Northcliff tower. Has anyone managed to get an explanantion from i-Burst? I must admit this is the first time this has happened to me in the +-3 weeks I have had it so far

I phoned last night, but after 30 minutes on hold I gave up.

Never found the helpdesk of any help anyway. It's very disconcerting to realize that you are far more knowledgable than the person who answered the phone.

I'm going to miss Mweb's support desk - they really knew their stuff.

Let's hope things improve.
 
Gawd, what have I let myself in for? I've been battling to get hold of the accounts department for the past 4 days too. .....
Best we can hope for is that these are all teething problems ahead of the official launch, at which time they switch everything and everyone on, and these forums die out due to lack of things to complain about!!!
 
Don't understand these problems. Last night www.google.com and google.co.za didn't work. Neither did msn search. Unlike other people, I could however log on to msn messenger. Strange how it effect certain people as surely this is not a tower problem?
 
Seems to be a definate struggle with the NorthCliff tower, I work in bez valley at the moment and I get full speeds... except for torrents

Ah yes! It's sad, but when you see those downloads blazing in at 120KB/s you tend to forgive almost anything...
 
Perhaps the port shaping tests blocked out some of us. Anyone got word from iBurst yet? I haven't...

My biggest problem with Iburst atm is the constant disconnections, checked my router logs just now and I have had 14 disconnections in the last 12 hours, its terrible. This needs to be resolved. But then again the orcdesk will just say "the tower is up on our screens"

At this rate I am going to take that freakin plasma screen down myself and they can guess if it works or not.... they do that anyways.

Mmm what do you mean by speeds are up? cause i connect to the randburg tower with full signal and my speeds arent up ... no where near 1Mb.

Well, for the first time since Dec I'm getting 83.49 KB/sec again (667.90kbps on the myadsl speed test). Also, no need for any pinging ALL day. Now, going home (Lonehill) & will see what happens there...
 
See, now this is where I reach my limit, I got banned with AOL AIM because of the constant reconnections. I had to send them a whiny e-mail about having a useless ISP. After 1 or 2 emails convincing them I was unbanned under the condition that I will get my ISP to correct the problem


PMSL - like thats gonna happen.
