iBurst uncapped broadband service launched; boosts data bundle sizes

Good pricing when you tae everything into account!

I personally think this pricing is very good, its something that iburst had to do to stay in the game.

I thought iburst was going to be dead in a few years, and if they as late as they were this time round to be competitive they will be when the next bandwidth fight comes out.

Taking everything into account including ADSL line+phone line+ISP means these prices from iburst actually beat most (if not all) Packages for capped users.
If I was to go to iburst I would definitely use their capped option over their uncapped 25gb for that price is a bargain if you don’t have to pay for all of the above mentioned.

30 Gig , heavily shaped 1Mbps service at R599 pm linked to a 24 month contract ? ermmm no thanks.

Looking at their current pricing, the monthly subscription for a 15GB is R369, then you have to pay another R585 for data. So I don't think it compares to ADSL just yet.

I'm paying R629 for 25GB on a 4meg line from WebAfrica at the moment, and that includes line rental.

Tired of these telco's and ISP's flogging 30-90GB per month packages as "uncapped". The ASA really needs to do something about it.

Why they are technically uncapped? i.e. they only slow you down after that volume. Perhaps ASA should force them to append an adjective in front such as throttled uncapped or something.

those are actually pretty decent prices R198 for 10 gigs at 1mbps. ADSL is R300 line and adsl rental for a 3rd of the speed and then 10gb would cost from R75
Does anyone know what is the contract length for the capped option and how much the modem will end up costing?

Very nice prices. R198 for 10GB on month2month or contract.

This matches 8ta's prices. (You got to get your own modem as well)

EDIT: Plus you get another 10GBs to use between midnight and 08h00

Why are they shaping it from 08:00 to 00:00 if you're getting throttled after 1GB/3GB per day?

Ya, with 1/3 gig before throttling how much abuse can one really do?

So glad Mweb is around, they are the only ones that have not lost the plot.

Perfect for complex or if you gypsy, no fixed external antenna and just pick-up and go, coverage better?

Aah~ tailored for them gypsies i see :D
Coverage I don't notice any difference though, but then again I'm in CPT...

Anybody that goes for iBurst needs to have their head read. Their service is absolutely the worst of any company in the whole country, and that is saying a lot! What would motivate all those people to start up anti-iBurst sites and campaign against them without very good reason? Add to that the thousands of complaints on Hellopeter, doesn't that make you wonder? Yet the gullible people keep giving iBurst free access to their bank accounts where iBurst plays havoc, just taking money out of people's accounts any time they feel like it. No thanks, had enough of that. Anyone still stupid enough to use iBurst after all the warnings deserves to be robbed blind.
