Iburst Vs CellC ? They sell CellC packages now !

Ok IB-hurst ,
I recently defended iburst packages and pointed out some issues on the cellc packages in this thread,
Imagine my supprise to find that iburst now SELL cellc packages ?!

Now explain me this ,
iB-Hurst have people buy their hardware , and sell their 2 gig packages for R200.
Instead of this leading to competition in the market pushing the prices down ,
iB-Hurst sell packages of their competition .
And make no mistake , this is YOUR COMPETITION !
How on earth do you support your competitors ? Might as well close up shop.
You don't see IS reselling MWEB packages do you ?!

Now you want YOUR CUSTOMERS to BUY CELLC hardware and get bandwidth for CHEAPER than YOU are selling it !!
And to put the cherry on the cake , their bandwidth is faster than yours.

I don't see your logic ? Unless iB-Hurst is selling its assets and becoming a cellc retail shop.

The CellC package that YOU are selling , costs R1499 Hardware included.
Now i'm gonna cut the cake here and pretend its for the bandwidth only.
That's R1499 for 2GB over 12 months.
So that's R125 for 2 Gig a month.
While iB-hurst wireless packages are R200 for 2 gig.

Talk about telling your current customers WHO BOUGHT THE HARDWARE to sodd off !!

You BOTH sell WIRELESS INTERNET , Its the same darn thing.

So I'm considering completely cutting iB-Hurst off and getting CellC (and not via iB-Hurst)

In essence , iB-Hurst is saying that their hardware is inferior and they cant match the data package prices. IB-Hurst is 1 Mbps , Cellc is 7.2Mbps.
You're not only causing your customers to leave , your pushing them off the ship.
Way to go ! Someone in your marketing team sure screwed the pooch on this one.
 
That is quite weird... Would love to know the thinking behind it. There has to be something to it, else it doesn't make sense.

So, they offer to sell you postage at R99 when you can pick it up from Cell C yourself for free from the nearest branch.
They offer you a ibust email addy. What is the point of that? If you need an email addy get gmail. If you have an email addy why would you want this?
So I suppose their only reason to exist would be this Skype wanabee icall?

Lol....That's hilarious, since I have a Cell C speedstick myself, that means iBurst still loves me...:D

Maybe their CEO uses Cell C on the road, so he thought what the hell, might as well join them.
 
I'd rather cut iBurst out and buy directly from CellC.

Don't want [-]the hell[/-]the attention of their accounts department.
 
I would love to hear iBurst rational behind this.

I wouldn't be surprised that, after they heard the call from customers saying that they are leaving iBurst for CellC, that they are just going to offer CellC products to at least keep the customers.

Except you never, EVER undercut your own competing product with one that is cheaper and performs better!

iBurst used to resell Vodacom. That made sense. It was more expensive and nicely showed why iBurst was a better value for money offering.

This just crazy and the ultimate towel throw-in.

Any bets how long before they close shop completely?

Not really. They are 2 different technologies and iBurst is still cheaper even than the latest Cell C promotion. It also depends where you are located and what signal you can get.

Both are wireless internet and with the cellc package youre also paying for the hardware.

iBurst should in all honesty , be cheaper than a superior product (CellC's offering which they also sell at cheaper than their own packages)

I dont know how ibhurst intend on staying in business with this model ?

why are you shouting ?
Cell C is faster - in certain places, in my area unfortunatly so far iburst is faster
 
CellC coverage is in more places than iBurst so dont start with that.
This thread isnt even about the speed or the coverage , its about the prices and about iBurst selling the competition's product.
Looks like they might aswell sell the business. I don't see how they are competing at all. Quite the opposite , they support the competition.
