OMG. In all the time I've used iBurst (12 months now) it has never sucked as much as IS' ADSL connection.

Been on ADSL now for 3 weeks at the office, and I get more disconnects and timeouts in a day than all of the 12 months on iBurst.

ADSL sucks!

IMO there's nothing wrong with the ADSL infrastructure. I've found it to be very stable and consistent.

It's the IS ADSL service that is unacceptable in terms of reliability and consistency. I wanted to support IS as an alternative provider of ADSL subscription services, but after experiencing 3 months of frustration with downtime, slow speeds and lack of information or action from their end (how about giving me credit for downtime, say six hours for each hour of unavailability?) - I decided it wasn't worth the time or hassle and cancelled my subscription with them. No business can survive this sort of questionable service from IS for extended periods of time.

Back to WebAfrica's prepaid SAIX offering for me.

I went back to IS after 4 months of SAIX. must say it is a lot better than back then! Im enjoying the IS news server right now :)
