Hi there
I'm looking to apply for an iBurst wireless Giga package with a Desktop modem, and without an antenna. I live in Greenshieldsark, very close to Walmer 13th and 14th avenue. According to what I can make out on the iBurst webpage, one of their base stations is located in P.E Central, which means it is about 6km from where I stay. The area of Walmer also has quite a bit of trees, but then again there aren't that many trees in Greenshieldspark, and Central is a bit higher up geographically.
My question to you guys is; Do you think I'll have a good, average, bad, or no connection speed at all? If I can average about 40-80 KB/s then that would be cool with me. Also, do you think it'll help me to get an antenna? Since there isn't really a line of sight between my house and either one of the base stations.
If anyone can shed some light on this, or if someone stays in the same area as me perhaps, please help. Numerous emails to all the iBurst addresses have proven unsuccessful, since it seems that they just don't see any need in replying to potential subscribers at all.
