Gibbs. Lean patch. Except for the 438 game he has been dire for some time.

Smitty must go,he has had his time,Rule of thumb...never make a opener a cpt of your team,When he under performs which in this case is constant the selectors and coach feel like noobs.

try variations and different combinations with the first 4 batsman,In this case all four of our batsman usually under perform.

we also running short of world class bowlers, atm we have polly and ntini.....please dont tell me Nel...bah usless! When polly and ntini go then we are truly screwed!

I think Dale Steyn is going to be a very good bowler. They need to give him a chance.

Would love to see AB and Loots Bosman opening in the ODIs. Play Smith at 5 if you have to

no smitty must GO all together,he is a waste in the team.As before he was selected as the cpt becos of his confidence and the selectors saw that.He is now wasting a valible posistion in the team and has turned into a cocky SOB.

Bouch should be skipper, and yes AB and boosman should be primed for opening,The first couple of bastmen in the opening overs are/is vital to the rest of the teams confidence. If they fail then so much relies on the middle order which very unfair imho.

u c, whoever said they shoulda bat first was wrong... the ball does way more under lights.. and theres more moisture with dew and the ball comes on faster... if theres a flat pitch its a different story cos the ball comes on better to the bat and its easier to score, but on a pitch like this....

Now the one thing i hope smith does, is jst keep bowling pollock and ntini for atleast 8 overs each....finish it and get it over with

lol awsome!!!

wait wait it must be the wicket and there batsmen need to adapt!:o

Yeah I'm not in favour of batting 2nd. Apart from the movement, when you set the score first then it brings out the best in the bowlers and fielders because they know what they're defending.

When in doubt, bat first. If there is no doubt, bat first. When the moon is in the seventh house, bat first.

Its all relative...Depends completely on your strengths..
Pakistan and sa have always good at defending totals because of their strong bowling, while india, westindies, srilanka etc. have a stronger batting side..

Australia ofcoarse have always been great at both, so they dont care......:o
Bastards!

Australia couldn't defends 434, nor could they chase 234 against the Windies :D I would say they have some weaknesses, one of which is that they're over-confident.

47/8 now! What's the lowest ODI total?
