ICC gets Malema genocide complaint

Johannesburg - The International Criminal Court on Thursday confirmed receipt of a complaint by a Rustenburg farmer against ANC Youth League president Julius Malema.

It would now "receive attention", the farmer's lawyer Fanie van der Walt said in a statement.

"The office of the prosecutor of the ICC confirmed in writing the receipt of the complaints which will now receive attention."

Malema is facing a possible genocide charge at the ICC in The Hague for singing "shoot the boer", which the Rustenburg farmer interpreted as inciting the league's supporters to commit genocide against boers.

Shortly after being rebuked by the ANC, Malema changed the words to "kiss the boer".

The unidentified Rustenburg farmer and his family reportedly left South Africa two weeks ago, fearing for their safety after deciding to lay the charge against Malema.

The submission of information to the office of the prosecutor did not automatically trigger an investigation, said Van der Walt.

"In accordance with the Rome Statute, the office must analyse all information submitted in order to determine whether the rigorous criteria of the statute are satisfied."

"Once a decision is reached whether or not a reasonable basis to proceed with an investigation exists, the office of the prosecutor will promptly inform (us) thereof, along with reasons for the decision."

"We believe however that the ICC will decide to formally investigate the complaints because they comply with the very specific and defined jurisdiction and mandate of the (court) as defined by the Rome Statute."

Guys, some free advice. Nobody takes Malema seriously. The only reason he gets so much media attention is not because he's an important or powerful person who speaks for the government. It's because you lot (The "swart gevaar" lot) lose your collective minds whenever the guys says anything. He's a gimp but he's almost always quoted out of context by the media to sell newspapers. Now stop being such gimps yourselves. Stop having a strong reaction to Malema and they'll stop posting stories together. Furthermore he'll stop being able to win favor with the few radicals out there (and for f sakes there's no group out there calling for white genocide) if you stop making him the "anti racist" champion by throwing your Julius Malema toys out the cot everytime he says something. Just chill ek se.

If this is the case how is it that he has hordes of cheering arseholes surrounding him when he makes speaches at varsities?

Firstly they're "the youth", A.N.C members and he's the head of the youth League. Secondly because they're teenagers who take politics 101, just heard about Marxism and have all sorts of dumb ideas about the world. They'll grow out of it when they start bank rolling themselves and the girls realise makeup costs money and the boys realise the girls like boys with nice cars.

Just to illustrate how stupid people are at university consider than most university girls for example are feminists.

Look if you think Malema speaks for black people then you're very out of touch. You've got a neurotic view of the world and are using news snipets to confirm your bias. And when he does speak for black people they're cheering him on because he's telling them how there's all this money available from the nationalisations of mines etc and they'r entitled to it and other pie in the sky drivel. Not because he's saying kill anybody. Only in the most dung fertilised minds has Malema ever implied anyone get killed.

I doubt even 50% of varsity students support Malema. Secondly, there's a 100% chance that Malema does not know what marxism or feminists mean. I am willing to bet that most of the people that support Malema doesn't know the meaning of those words either.

The people currently supporting Malema are not ideological varsity students, but rather idiots that probably don't even have a high school education! And this goes for more than half of the ANC support base as well.
