I am glad Faulkner got snot-klapped...he needs to come down a peg or two, hardly in the team and sledging away like a seasoned player...besides I have always thought his slow ball would be easily read--if you look from nbehind his shoulder drops significantly.

The other player that needs to come down a peg is Maxwell...flaunts his natural ability too much.

Bailey is a poor example of a captain...I didnt like him in test team with that continuous smirk and constant chirping from short leg, especially since he wasnt even scoring runs...I am really not sure what they see in him as a leader

Theoretically not a MUST, but in all probability yes

eg NZ could suffer heavy defeat , Eng beats SA by small margin and lose to Netherlands, SL 6 pts, NZ 4 points and Net RR worse than SA..SL and SA go through

Yes, in fact the box seat is SL and NZ really have to win i.e. either of SA or Eng likely to end up on 6...so NZ do need 6 to get through

edit...actually SL have to win too...either of two pairs would likely have one ending on 6
 
I'm not too worried about our batsmen getting a fair score as I am about our bowlers pulling their socks up
