I think we have the mentality that spin can't win us stuff. Bad, bad, bad decision by AB. Those 2 overs by Kallis and Albie lost this for us. Not doing anything for our choking tag either.

exactly, at least he had to let botha bowl through, duminy could have had another one.

What is it with us and our distrust in spin?
 
More like, WTF was Albie doing?!? I reckon if he didn't bowl so piss poor Umar would not have set the "momentum". Very disappointed. I mean, we were 76/7 FFS!

The spin bowlers had 6 overs left between them. They definitely should have been bowled out. The were economical and took crucial wickets. I am sad to say, but the responsibility for this loss is the captain's. I am gutted that we lost. I can only hope AB learns from this experience and doesn't bowl his mates ahead of the guys getting the job done. :cry:

How many times do you need to get smashed for boundaries bowling short before you WAKE THE FUK UP?????

Winning test and meaningless odi's inbetween World Cups means nothing until we start winning World Cups. Atleast get to a final ffs...

Spinners were bowling well. Very poor decision to bring the pace back that early. To make matters worse, almost all of Gul's runs were from short balls. All of his boundries were. I agree we deserved to lose. Poor cricket all around. Spinners - Botha + Duminy + Peterson = 30 runs off 8 overs and 4 wickets. Pace - Morkel + Morkel + Kallis = 76 off less than 8 overs and 1 wicket.
 
Now we have to win both games against Aus and India very well and hope they lose badly so our run rate is higher
 
Just confirms that Albie does not belong in the team. Everyone considers him a great finisher, but like today, he scores 15 off 10. Great strike rate, but why the hell leave your finisher with only 10 balls?
The fact that he can't bowl proof that if he can't be selected based on his batting, he should not be there. Because as an all-rounder, he is not up to standard in PJ cricket.
